Athens YMCA CEO
As the CEO, Shae Wilson-Gregg brings more than 20 years of experience to the YMCA movement, specifically the Athens YMCA. Her career at the Athens YMCA began in 1999 at the age of 19.
Twenty years of experience includes working as a part-time youth and athletic coach, program coordinating, serving as assistant youth director, becoming the youth and athletic director, taking on the hat of associate executive director, and becoming the CEO in November of 2013.
Shae holds a bachelor of science degree in psychology and a master’s degree in business administration. She is married to a wonderful man named Rob Gregg (whom she met at the Athens YMCA) and has one daughter, MaryAiken, and a pet child - pug Clementine.

Executive Director of Athens Y Camp for Boys and Camp Chattooga for Girls
Edward Schaefer lives in Toccoa, Georgia with his wife Paula and three children, Paul, Garland, and Spencer. Edward is a graduate of Liberty University with a degree in Youth Ministries. He has been a part of AYC since his youth having gained over 35 years of experience with the camps.
Associate Executive Director
Jacqueline started her Athens Y journey while attending the University of Georgia as a youth program coach. She has served multiple roles in the youth and athletics department and most recently as the Membership & Development Director. She now serves as our Associate Executive Director. Jacqueline also recently completed her fitness instructor certification. She is honored to be part of the Athens YMCA team.
Jacqueline has a bachelors degree in Spanish. When not at the Y, she loves walks outside, spending time with family and friends, and espresso.

Marketing & Campaign Director
Abby became a part of the Athens YMCA in 2006 when she began as a Leader in Training with Camp Kelley. Over the years, Abby has served as a youth program and summer day camp coach and coordinator, Development & Marketing Coordinator and Assistant Day Camp Director. She is excited to now serve as the Marketing & Campaign Director. Abby loves being able to give back to an organization that has given so much to her throughout the years.
A native of Watkinsville, Georgia, Abby has an undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and an MBA from Indiana University. Outside of the Y, Abby enjoys cheering on the Dawgs and Hoosiers, running, a good British crime show, and spending time with friends, family, husband Mathew and puppy children Juno and Bella.
Mathew Fuller, also referred to as Coach Fuller, started at the Y as a Camp Kelley kid. Moving through the years, Fuller was active in the majority of sports offered at the Y, participated in the Leaders in Training program during the summer months, and later became a youth and athletic program and summer camp coach. His most recent positions at the Y have been Athletic Coordinator and Assistant Day Camp Director. He now serves as our Athletic Director and Day Camp Director.
Coach Fuller graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Health Promotion and Behavior with an emphasis in Health Services. When not at the Y he enjoys spending time with friends, family, wife Abby and dogs Juno and Bella.
Elyse Giles has been with the Athens YMCA since 2002 and has served as the Wellness Director since 2009. Elyse loves teaching classes, meeting the Y members and being a part of the Athens community. She is very grateful that the Y is a family-oriented place as her 3 children have grown up at the Y! Her passion is fitness, family, food and faith and the Y is the perfect place for her to be.

Youth & Family Program Director
Gina Jackson is a native Athenian. Growing up as a Youth Y member, Gina participated in dance, tennis, basketball and swimming. Gina considers the Athens Y her second home. She is very grateful and honored to be a part of the leadership and legacy that has been established at the Athens YMCA. Gina has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services Delivery & Administration with a minor in Sociology.

Building Operations Director
Tammy Langford started her 20+ year career with the Athens Y while attending UGA. She began as a coach and child watch staff. After completing her B.S. in Sociology and Criminal Justice, Tammy was promoted to Assistant Adult Program Director. In 2005, Tammy became the Building Operations Director.

Senior Program Director
Jordan grew up in Watkinsville, Georgia but didn't make it to the Athens YMCA until her first year at UGA when she attended the group interview for Camp Kelley. Over the years, Jordan has served as a Camp Kelley and youth programs coach, CUBS unit head, assistant camp director, youth and membership coordinator, and is now excited to serve as the Athens YMCA's Senior Program Director and Day Camp Director.
Jordan is a graduate of the University of Georgia with an undergraduate degree in Social Work. Fun fact: due to a May 2020 graduation cancellation, she got to turn her tassel at the Athens YMCA and is the proud recipient of a UGA and YMCA diploma! Outside of the Y, Jordan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, running, ballroom dancing, and her girls-only family book club.
Laura Osborne is the Finance Director of the Athens YMCA. Her Y career began in 2001. She was promoted to Finance Director in 2007. Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also loves to attend the Georgia Bulldogs football games and loves to travel and see new places when she gets the chance. Laura says the YMCA inspires her daily!
Ben Schultz has been with the Y for a number of years and has served as the Aquatics Director since 2004. He is married to Holly and they have two beautiful children.
Ben says that he is a former genius, now cartoonish icon representing the word “smart” in plumbing and pool maintenance. Sometimes he just wants to give it all up and become a handsome billionaire.
